Though I’m not the biggest Star Wars fan in the world, the upcoming LucasArts video game Star Wars 1313
is by far my most highly anticipated game of the next year or so. Words cannot express how excited I am about this game… but I’ll talk about it anyway.
In the game, you’re a bounty hunter navigating the criminal underworld of Coruscant — specifically, level 1313. (And no, you’re not a Jedi knight.) The setting is much grittier than your average Star Wars locale, and the story is set between the first and second trilogies, with new characters. Gameplay and cutscenes are supposed to weave in and out as seamlessly as possible, so apparently you’ll never feel like the game is forcing you to stop playing to watch the dialogue or story.
And best of all, the graphics look outrageously vivid, thanks to Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) capturing every detail of characters’ looks, movements and expressions. (Most recently, ILM animated the Hulk in The Avengers.) The trailer above features gameplay footage and not just cutscene visuals, to showcase what graphics you’ll really see when you play. Which makes sense, given that creative director Dominic Robilliard has stated that the graphic quality of cutscenes and gameplay should match.
It seems there’s no release date in sight, but I’m already holding my breath for this one.

I’d heard a little bit about this and omg, yes, it looks amazing. Weird as it is, the lighting, fluidity of movement, cover, etc kind of reminds me of the style of Uncharted.
Amazing doesn’t even begin to explain how this game looks. I can’t wait to see more from it.
