This month is going to be all about getting back on track with my writing, gaming, reading, and exercising. I’ve been super busy the past month or two, to the point where I’m ready to slow down and make more time for my hobbies. I’ve been neglecting a lot of things lately! Now that fall is here, I’m ready for the change of pace.
Video Games: Last month I spent quite a bit of time playing ReCore, which I wrote about and did a video post review on. It’s exceptionally fun; I recommend it if you’re into fast-paced shooting of platforming challenges!
I’m also still playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (the best story-driven game I’ve played since The Witcher 3) and Rise of Iron, the latest Destiny expansion.
But this month, I’m most excited about Gears of War 4 and Skyrim: Special Edition! I just want to get my hands on that lancer and then go buy myself a house in Markarth.
TV: Not exactly sci-fi or fantasy, but I got hooked on Homeland last month. I’m on season two now and at the end of each episode, I’m dying to see what happens next. The only thing stopping me from binge-watching it is that I watch it with my partner, and since I tend to watch it before bed, I usually crash before I can keep bingeing!
This month, Luke Cage and Westworld are top of my list for new TV.
What are you guys playing and watching this month?
— Ashley
I’ve been watching Luke Cage and liking it so far! :) I actually have a lot going on this month too, but it’ll be detailed in my own post on Monday. Let’s call it an overview/update post that’s incoming soon. :P
Ooh I can’t wait to read your post! I’ve just watched the first two episodes of Luke Cage so far and really like it.
As per usual I’ve got no shortage of options on the gaming front. As is probably obvious from the recent posts on my own blog, I did end up extending my WoW sub for another month, but now I do plan to let it lapse soon, at least for a little while. I really want to play through Knights of the Fallen Empire in SW:TOR.
Also, it’s October, which means Halloween in The Secret World. I haven’t played much TSW in the last few months, but Halloween in that game is not something you want to miss. Was also thinking of replaying The Park again — might make that a Halloween tradition. I’ve also been tempted to give Elder Scrolls Online another go soon, especially with One Tamriel coming out, but I don’t know if I’ll find time. And damn it I wish they’d add a wardrobe system or something.
Not watching a lot exciting now that Dark Matter’s second season wrapped up. Still rewatching Enterprise. Might dig out my Continuum DVDs after that, IDK.
I’ll also actually be leaving the house to do something interesting this month — going to a July Talk concert just before Halloween. Ended up seeing a concert last month, too, which is interesting because I didn’t know I was going until two hours before the doors opened… and I didn’t pay… and I wound up shaking the singer’s hand.
That was a good day.
Oh interesting, I’ve been curious about ESO but with Skyrim coming to new gen, I’m just going to play that instead for now. The concert sounds fun! Spontaneous outings can be the best! And yes, I actually need to watch the last episodes of Continuum so maybe I’ll do that this month too. I miss that show.
