This month I am playing through the 2013 Tomb Raider game, and getting very excited for Rise of the Tomb Raider coming out in November. I feel like my theme of the month is Tomb Raider. I’m already preparing a Lara Croft costume for Halloween… I have to say, it’s really nice to have an outfit I’m actually excited about this year, instead of just throwing something together at the last minute like I usually do.
I’m also playing Halo 3: ODST co-op and finding it to be really unique. Some missions feel like classic Halo 3, but the art style and personality of the game is very different than other Halo games. You set waypoints for yourself, and combat in missions seems to be much more active — like jumping around to avoid damage as you take down massive enemies and tanks, etc. It gets pretty chaotic, but I’m enjoying it a lot so far.
After I finish those two games (maybe later this month), I’m looking forward to taking a stab at Gears of War Ultimate Edition co-op…
I’m also in the process of moving this month, which hopefully won’t take away too much gaming time! Once I move, there will be two Xbox Ones and two Xbox 360s in the apartment, so I’ll also be prepared for the fact that when Halo 5 comes out next month and it doesn’t support local co-op, my partner and I can still play together online, luckily.
