When I woke up today, I was surprised and humbled to see that Karl of Game Complain Repeat nominated me for a Versatile Blogger Award. His blog is one of my favorites. If I had been nominated by anyone else, he would be on my list of nominations for his thoughtful, witty, totally off-the-wall blog about gaming.

After doing some fun homework, I discovered that the Versatile Blogger Award is basically a sweet and easy way to share the work of other bloggers. Everyone nominated wins. Once nominated, you’re supposed to nominate 15 other bloggers and tell 7 things about yourself.

So on to my nominations! As a relatively new blogger, I don’t have 15 bloggers to nominate (yet), but here are links to the blogs of a few writers whose posts I always enjoy reading. Most write about gaming, movies and other nerdy wonders. Some of these bloggers may have been nominated before, and some have blogs that are much bigger than mine, so I don’t expect them to post on VBA’s or my behalf… I just want to share, which is what this award is all about.

1. My foray into the world of electronics happened when I was a kid, with educational computer games and way too many Giga Pets and Tamagotchis.
2. I love going to concerts. My favorite music bands are the Jesus and Mary Chain, Spiritualized and the Smiths (among many, many others).
3. My favorite video game series is Mass Effect.
4. My favorite author is Dostoevsky.
5. I can curl my tongue.
6. I’m a breakfast person.
7. I’m a cat person.
